OHIO BWC EXTENDS 4% SAFETY COUNCIL INCENTIVE PROGRAM

In conjunction with the Ohio Safety Congress, BWC Administrator/CEO Bill Mabe announced the extension of the 4 percent rebate for employers participating in the safety council incentive program. 

“Safety councils have become an increasingly important partner in the bureau’s efforts to improve workplace safety efforts across the state,” Mabe said.  “By continuing to work together, we can continue to reduce on-the-job injuries and keep Ohioans working.”

To receive the discount, employers must:

•                     enroll in a safety council by September 30, 2006

•                     send a representative to at least eight meetings between July 1, 2006 and June 30, 2007

•                     have senior management attendance at the safety council CEO event

•                     submit semi-annual reports for the 2006 calendar year.
