HB 294 EXPEDITED FORECLOSURES  (Kilbane)  To provide an expedited foreclosure procedure for lands that have had delinquent tax charges for a specified number of years that are not occupied.   (5th Hearing-All testimony-Possible amendments, substitute & vote)

Senate Judiciary-Criminal Justice, (Chr. Jordan, 466-7584), North Hearing Rm., 9 a.m.

HB 347 CONCEAL-CARRY REVISIONS  (Aslanides)  To revise the laws regarding licenses to carry a concealed handgun and the authority to carry a concealed handgun under such a license.   (2nd Hearing-All testimony)  

SB 281 LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING  (Stivers)  To mandate up to 24 hours a year of continuing professional training for peace officers and state highway patrol troopers and to establish the method by which the Attorney General reimburses the training costs.   (1st Hearing-Sponsor)

HB 9 PUBLIC RECORDS LAW  (Oelslager)  To revise the Public Records Law, to create the office of Public Access Counselor in the Court of Claims, to create a library records commission in each public library and a special taxing district records commission in each special taxing district, to allow a concealed carry licensee to prohibit the disclosure of the licensee's information to a journalist, to revise the records commissions laws, and to eliminate the provision that certain records made by a public accountant incident to an audit of a public office or private entity are not public records.   (1st Hearing-Sponsor)  

SB 232 PUBLIC MEETINGS  (Schuring)  To specifically provide that a public body cannot engage in actions that have the effect of circumventing the requirements of Ohio's open meetings laws, such as conducting prearranged discussions of public business via electronic mail create or received by or coming under the jurisdiction of any public office may qualify as a public record.   (1st Hearing-Sponsor)

HB 401 FIREFIGHTER TRAINING  (Law)  To provide for the adoption of rules governing firefighter training.   (3rd Hearing-All testimony-Possible amendments)

HB 429 REZONING NOTICES  (DeWine)  To require a county, township, or statutory municipal corporation zoning authority to give notice to the commander of a military base, camp, installation, or airfield that is at least 30 acres in size when considering proposed rezoning or redistricting of property that is within 3,000 feet of that base, camp, installation, or airfield.   (2nd Hearing-All testimony)  

HB 492 DEVELOPMENT RIGHTS  (Wolpert)  To permit townships, counties, and combinations of certain political subdivisions to establish transfer of development rights programs.   (1st Hearing-Sponsor)
