• OMAA Winter Municipal Law Seminar

The purpose of this organization is for the general improvement of the administration of the legal services rendered to the municipalities of Ohio through the advancement of the officers of municipal law departments in the knowledge and understanding of the law of municipal corporations and the administration of the legal affairs of their respective municipalities by means of their cooperative efforts in the study and discussion of legislation, court decisions and administrative rulings, and all legal and other matters pertaining to municipal government in Ohio; to strengthen local government and its administration in Ohio by furnishing information to its members so that they may better perform the duties incumbent upon them, by fostering and encouraging career service in municipal government, by striving to maintain and advance the fullest measure of home rule in local government and by creating a public awareness that the vitality of democracy depends upon the strength of its municipal institutions; and to cultivate a spirit of mutual helpfulness and good fellowship among its members.
